Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going to appear in
major-screen comedies such as 'Elf "Anchorman," as well as Talladega
Nights. Will Ferrell was born in Irvine in 1967. He started his career in
comedy as a member of the group based in Los Angeles, The Groundlings.
Following his seven-year tenure as Saturday Night Live's cast member, Ferrell
became one of the most popular comedic actors on the market by releasing
off-color films such as Old School (2003) or Anchorman: The Legend of Ron
Burgundy (2004). Ferrell was also a co-founder of the streaming site Funny or
Die and enjoyed great success in voice acting in animated films such as
Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell, born July 16, 1967 in Irvine, California.
Will Ferrell was the oldest son of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell
as well as teacher Kay Ferrell. He was himself, as he admitted, not exactly the
class clown when he was a University High School student. He was calm and quiet
and he opted to be a football player and set a school record for the highest
number of field goals scored. Ferrell was a more relaxed person in suburban
homes and didn't show the same kind of outrageous or humorous flashes that
would later define his career. In an interview with Esquire, his mother said
that Ferrell was "very gentle, and very calm." "You do you
remember those tiny Matchbox cars?" Will would be completely happy when he
lined up all of his Matchbox cars all by himself. You would say, "You want
to go to Disneyland today?" That would be a challenging discussion for him
to think about. "That's not to say that Ferrell was a straight man. One
glimpse of Ferrell's comedy talent was shown each day at school when he
disguised himself and announced his day's events on the loudspeaker system.
Ferrell was a graduate in 1986 and attended the University of Southern
California in Los Angeles. There he joined Delta Tau fraternity to pursue the
degree of a sports reporter.
