Lil Yacthy is an artist who is a rapper, singer, and artist. The rapper is known for his hit song "One Night". Miles Parks McCollum is his real name. He is also known under the aliases Nautica Boat Boy, Lil Boat and King Boat. Two mixtapes of his, "Summer Songs 2" and "Lil Boat", helped him to become the most well-known name in the world. It wasn't his first try at singing. His first two singles, 'One Night' (August 2015) and 'Minnesota' (August 2015) were what gained him his initial recognition. These songs were part of the debut EP, Extended Play, called "Summer Songs.. Currently he has music labels like 'Capital Records' and 'Quality Control Music' and 'Motown Records under his belt. Yachty has collaborated with famous rappers like 'D.R.A.M. and "Chance the Rapper," among others. The official website of Yachty also showcases his merchandise. Yachty was accepted into Alabama State University as a graduate student, but he was dismissed after two months. From his early years, Yachty was inspired by music that was different and broke the norms. It was a result of his father who would play diverse music during his childhood. He took on the nickname "Yachty", and moved from Atlanta Georgia to New York in 2015 to follow his dream of becoming a professional musician. He stayed with a close friend in New York and searched for opportunities to get into the music business. In the meantime he was able to meet street fashion celebrities on the internet and built an extensive following on Instagram. He joined forces with Burberry Perry (producer and beat maker) and his primary collaborator, K$upreme. They're referred to collectively as "The Saling Team" and they worked with Lil Yachty in her bedroom. His initial success came when Drake's OVO Sound Radio aired his hit track 'Minnesota'. The moment that made Lil Yachty famous came with the track "1Night". The video was shared online, and quickly went viral. When the SoundCloud version of the song he sang "One Night" became a popular meme The media flocked to his name.
