Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey is an African-American writer, best known for her ex-wifeship with comedy legend and TV host Steve Harvey. She decided to keep her personal life secretive and out of the spotlight. Although Steve had not yet reached anywhere in the same level of success that he has now and they were married for fourteen years. The reasons behind the couple's breakup weren't revealed and rumors of their split have always been heard throughout Hollywood. Some claim that Steve Harvey is cheating while others accuse him of choosing comedy as his career. The tragedy of her life can be traced to the incident that Steve had to leave her and two daughters while she was pregnant with their third child. Despite her struggles she managed to make a successful career as a fashion designer and writer. She is the writer of "Marcia's Eyes To The Soul, 'Marcia's Poems From The Heart, and Marcia's Thoughts From the Mind. Her generosity has brought joy to her children. Marcia Harvey was born to an African-American family. They were not wealthy. She started her career in a department shop called "Saks Fifth Avenue". Steve was introduced to her by a close friend's wedding reception. They were very close and married in 1980. Steve was working as an insurance salesman at the moment and the couple was blessed with twin daughters in 1982. Steve was already disillusioned by his job and wanted to become an entertainer, specifically stand-up comedy. Steve and Marcia did not get with each other and it was later reported that they'd lived separately since 1990. Marcia Harvey's fame stemmed in large part due to her marriage Steve Harvey, and their divorce. Although the divorce proceedings between them in 1994 were kept secret, it's clear that Marcia Harvey was pregnant with their third child when they fell apart. Marcia finally filed for divorce in 1993. Marcia was forced to seek the court after her divorce and Steve Harvey's refusing of payments for child support and alimony.
