Emma Stone

Emily Jean Stone, also called Emma, was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988. She is the daughter of Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a homemaker, and Jeffrey Charles Stone (CEO of a contracting firm founder and chief executive officer). She has Swedish as well as British Isles origins. Stone began her acting career in her early years as a participant in the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in the production of Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows". As she grew older, Stone was in a variety of other shows until she decided to make acting her career. Officially, she created an PowerPoint presentation, backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and titled "Project Hollywood", to convince her parents to let her leave school and relocate to Los Angeles. She and her mother made the pitch and moved to LA. Her schooling was completed at home and she spent the time performing auditions. Her TV debut was when she was cast as Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004). This was followed by a few minor TV roles throughout the years. After a string of successes in the role, her appearance as Olive in Easy A (2010) was her film debut. She was a student at Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona. While she's referred to as a redhead, her natural hair color is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she change her hair color for Superbad (2007) and she liked it so much that she chose to keep the color. She persuaded her parents to let her move to Hollywood when she was age fifteen by creating an PowerPoint presentation with the title, Project Hollywood. She began her career in acting at the age of 11 age in the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, where she was a part of more than 16 stage productions , as well as performing the theatre's comedy improv troupe. Caylee Cowan was also an actor at Valley Youth Theatre.
